Melanie’s AI-Transformation
Hey, I’m Melanie—copywriter, concept developer, creative generalist, AI supervisor, and good mood expert. If you ask me which of these skills is the most important, I’d definitely pick the last one. For me, the key to truly great creative work and ideas that make a difference lies in a mix of rebellious spirit, enthusiasm, and empathy. Two words people often misspell, by the way. That’s one of the reasons I love AI—it provides the perfect support for those who’d rather invest their energy in creative output than in tedious tasks like spell-checking. Or accounting. Or writing standard emails. At the end of 2023, ChatGPT popped up, and for the first time, I saw a copywriting job being handed over to AI instead of me. A few days later, my phone rang—the client apologized and brought me back on board. But the direction was clear. Damn. So I decided to look the so-called enemy in the virtual eye. And guess what? It turned out to be cooler than expected. In early 2024, I joined the "Vor der Welle AI" team, where I now help creatives turn their fear of being replaced into real energy for new projects. I also support people in marketing departments and agencies in discovering AI applications that make a real difference—whether by reducing workload or unlocking creative solutions that truly help. My biggest advantage is my personal experience. Not necessarily through my degree in visual communication or my years in Hamburg’s agency scene, but through the way I’ve optimized my own workflows with AI. Since then, I’ve been passionately (or annoyingly, depending on who you ask) introducing my clients to new tools and possibilities. I build custom GPTs, develop roadmaps for AI integration, bring AI personas to life in strategy workshops, and so much more. How cool is that? Very cool, thanks for asking. Beyond that, I’m interested in anything that makes a real impact in communication—from immersive experiences and gamification to non-profit projects that help make this (AI) world a better place.
